The Family Business Community is thrilled to announce the much-anticipated return of the Yorkshire and Humberside Family Business Awards for its second year on Friday, 10th November and will be held at The Majestic Hotel, situated in the beautiful spa town of Harrogate, providing an elegant backdrop for an evening of celebration and recognition.

The Yorkshire & Humberside Family Business Awards 2023, hosted by the Family Business Community, are not just another business award. They are a unique celebration dedicated to recognising and honouring the exceptional contributions of family businesses in the region, giving them a spectacular night to celebrate, network and remember.
Co-Founder, Sue Howorth, said “Our awards go beyond the ordinary business awards. We aim to showcase and champion the remarkable family businesses that call this region home, fostering a sense of harmony within the Yorkshire and Humberside business community.”

Dave Clarkson, also a Co-Founder of The Family Business Community, expressed his excitement around the return of the awards. As a proud Yorkshireman, he stated, “I am thrilled that our beloved family business awards are returning to this fantastic region.

Entries and Nominations for the Yorkshire & Humberside Family Business Awards 2023 are now open and will close on Friday, 8th September. Businesses can make an entry themselves or nominate other outstanding family-owned businesses that have made a significant impact in their respective industries.
The Yorkshire & Humberside Family Business Awards 2023 feature 14 categories, which ensure a comprehensive representation of family-owned enterprises. These categories include Employee of the Year, Best Social Impact and People’s Choice Award. An esteemed panel of handpicked judges and former winners will meticulously evaluate the entries to ensure a fair and transparent selection process, and then all shortlisted finalists will receive a judge’s visit.

Co-hosting the Awards, alongside Sue Howorth and Dave Clarkson will be the renowned food and drink broadcaster and writer, Nigel Barden. With numerous radio and TV shows under his belt, Nigel works on the Simon Mayo Drivetime Show on Greatest Hits Radio and specialises in promoting British ingredients and artisan producers, particularly in his role as chairman of judges for The Great Taste Awards and as a host at Tom Kerridge’s “Pub in the Park” festivals.
