On Friday, 22nd November, the Yorkshire & Humberside Family Business Awards 2024 brought together the region’s most inspiring family businesses to celebrate their achievements and contributions.
Hosted by The Family Business Community, the prestigious event took place at The Royal Armouries in Leeds, welcoming Family Business entrepreneurs, industry experts, and leaders from across Yorkshire and Humberside. Together, they honoured the innovation, resilience, and dedication that define the region’s family-owned enterprises.
This year’s awards featured 17 categories, including sector-specific accolades and the much-anticipated People’s Choice and Employee of the Year Awards, which were determined through a combination of public votes and judges’ scores. The high standard of entries posed a rewarding challenge for the judges, reflecting the remarkable talent and success of family businesses across the region.
The evening was hosted by celebrated food writer and broadcaster Nigel Barden, alongside the Family Business Community’s co-founders, Dave Clarkson and Sue Howorth. Reflecting on the night, they shared their excitement:
“This year’s awards were our biggest yet, and bringing them to Leeds added an extra layer of magic to the evening. The atmosphere was electric, and we were delighted by the incredible turnout, which truly showcased the strength and spirit of family businesses in Yorkshire and Humberside.
